R1.2 Approval: that the Secaucus Board of Education does hereby appoint Ilene Greenbaum as the Musical Director co-curricular position for the 2008-2009 school year as recommended by the Superintendent of Schools, and
Be It Resolved: that compensation for this position shall be contained in the Agreement between the Secaucus Education Association, Inc. and the Secaucus Board of Education and that no rights of tenure shall accrue by virtue of this appointment.
R1.3 Approval: that the Secaucus Board of Education does
hereby renew its Contract with The
Substitute
Service, Inc. (hereafter TSS) to
provide substitute calling services for the Secaucus School District during the
academic year 2009-2010; and
Be It Resolved: the cost of the aforementioned services will be $6,769.35 per year (no
increase from last year) for 174 staff members requiring a substitute. Payments
are to be made in ten (10) monthly payments of $676.93 each, beginning
September 1, 2009 and ending June 1, 2010.
In addition TSS will not charge for up to 29 teachers who do not require
a substitute.
R1.4 Approval: that the Secaucus Board of Education adopts General Policies and
Procedures that are approved as acceptable standards for the operation of the
Secaucus School System Medical Department reviewed by Dr. De Simone and the
School Nurses.
R1.5 Approval: that the Secaucus Board of
Education approves the annexed Field Trip requests.

R9.1 Approval: that the Secaucus Board of Education
approves for a 30-day pilot program
designed by the Children’s Progressive
Academic Assessment Program providing data
for measuring and analyzing student
proficiency in Language Arts and Mathematics
through the use of thirty-five to forty
minute computerized game-like assessments for
students in grades K-3.
