R1.2    Approval: that the Secaucus Board of Education does herby appoint Tiffany Aciz-Meyer as an Assistant Softball Coach for the 2008-2009 school year as recommended by the Superintendent of Schools, and

            Be It Further Resolved: that compensation for this position shall be contained in the Agreement between the Secaucus Education Association, Inc. and the Secaucus Board of Education and that no rights of tenure shall accrue by virtue of this appointment.    

 

R1.3    Approval: that the Secaucus Board of Education does hereby approve for Jo Marie Bennett, Teacher Assistant to work an additional 3 hours per/week assisting a special needs student while he participates in extracurricular activities with his peers, and

Be It Further Resolved: that compensation will be at Mrs. Bennett’s hourly rate of pay of $17.32 a total cost of $51.96 per/week.


 

R1.4    Whereas, the Secaucus Board of Education in conjunction with the New Jersey School Boards Association and the National School Boards Association recognize January 2009 to be School Board Recognition Month hereby-thanking current and former school board members for their dedication on behalf of their communities.

 

R1.5    Approval: that the Secaucus Board of Education approves the annexed Field Trip requests.

·         Letter of resignation from Ed Marsh, Marching Band Director retroactive to December 31, 2008.

·         Maternity/Child Rearing Leave for Alexis Leppin, Elementary Teacher at Huber St. School commencing on February 13, 2009 through June 30, 2009.

R9.1    Approval: that the Secaucus Board of Education approves for a 30-day pilot program designed by the Children’s Progressive Academic Assessment Program providing data for measuring and analyzing student proficiency in Language Arts and Mathematics through the use of thirty-five to forty minute computerized game-like assessments for students in grades K-3.
