Dear Parents,
In recent years, the Secaucus Public School district has intensified its efforts to provide a safe learning environment for our children. Each school has been involved in developing its own crisis management plan, and we have conducted drills with the students to better prepare them in case a potentially dangerous or catastrophic event occurs. In addition to our regularly scheduled fire drills, we have practiced lockdown procedures, emergency evacuations, and controlled student dismissals. These drills were planned with the assistance of various community agencies and reviews were conducted to address recommendations for improvement.
The school district plans to continue working with local law enforcement agencies and emergency management services to keep our children safe. As future drills are conducted, we will be contacting you to keep you informed.
