The purpose of the Character Education Program is to become a
better person with admirable qualities, to better understand peer pressure,
bullying and feelings. This program will also
facilitate and explore various forms of conflict and the tools needed to
resolve them through effective communication between the people involved in the
conflict. Students will be encouraged to analyze conflict and to think
creatively about its resolution.
All intermediate classes have representatives in the program. The
intention of the meetings is that these students will spread and share their
ideas and experiences from the program. The children will learn the importance
of the "Six Pillars of Character"; which include trust, respect, responsibility,
fairness, caring and citizenship. The aim is to build lifetime habits that will
improve all relationships, develop leaders and spread human kindness.
