HUBER STREET
SCHOOL
SAFETY
GUIDELINES
In order to provide your children with a safe and secure educational
environment, Huber Street School will be implementing the following procedures.
- Doors
to the building will remain closed until the first bell rings at 8:15 A.M.
At that time, students will line up in their assigned areas and
teachers will escort them to their classrooms.
Once the children enter the building, parents/guardians/family
members will be expected to leave the school grounds.
No one should follow their child to class.
In the event of inclement weather, students will be permitted to
enter the gym. Parents may
enter the gym with their children, but will be expected to leave when the
children are escorted to class.
- Our
school day will begin promptly at 8:25 A.M. Students who arrive late to school must enter through
the main entrance and complete a “late form” in the central office.
- Parents
who would like to meet with a teacher must call or stop in the office to
make an appointment.
- Parents
participating in a school activity such as a classroom volunteer or any
other school related function, must report to the office, to sign in and
obtain a “Visitor’s Pass”. The
“Visitor’s Pass” must be worn at all times while in the building.
- Parents
bringing lunch for their children must drop them off in the designated lunch
boxes in the hallway outside the main office.
Parents bringing books, homework, etc., must go directly to the main
office. Parents will not be
permitted to go to their child’s classroom.
In the past
two years, Huber Street School has experienced a dramatic increase in
enrollment. The above mentioned
guidelines will help provide your children with a safe and uninterrupted
educational experience.
Your
understanding and cooperation is truly appreciated.
