CLASS BEGINS FEBRUARY 26, 2008
This course is an introduction to painting that explores new approaches to creating beautiful works of art.  Students will learn how to draw their subject matter on canvas, and then paint it using the Modern Master’s Technique known as The Direct Method.  Lessons will be taught step by step using the lecture/demonstration method.  To the first class, bring your sketchbook and some drawings you have done.  Also, our instructor will demonstrate the kind of painting we will be doing and you will be shown all the materials you will need for the second class on the first night.  You will leave the course with framed paintings!!!!

Experienced or inexperienced, you can relax and enjoy a worthwhile hobby.  Learn how to clean green ware and advance to more difficult work.  Students can purchase materials.  Pieces will be selected at the first meeting, followed by 7 weeks of instructional classes.
