CLASS BEGINS JANUARY 31, 2008

This course is an introduction to painting.  Students will learn how to draw their subject matter on canvas, and then paint it using the Modern Master's Technique known as The Direct Method.  Lessons will be taught step by step using the lecture/demonstration technique. 
---To the first class bring your sketch book and some drawings you have done.  Also, the first night our instructor will demonstrate the kind of painting we will be doing and you will be shown all the materials you will need for the second class.

Experienced or inexperienced, you can relax and enjoy a worthwhile hobby.  Learn how to clean greenware and advance to more difficult work.  Students can purchase materials.  Pieces will be selected at the first meeting, followed by 7 weeks of instructional classes.

Want to take great pictures?  Are you afraid of the camera?  Do you want to use Photography, not only to enhance life but also to share memorable ideas and events?  This course is for you.  Students will be instructed in both traditional and digital photographic processes.  They will learn about the 35 mm camera.  Dark room techniques and procedures will be available to further you understanding and appreciation.  Material fee of $10 will be collected during the first class.

Confused about how your digital camera works?  Too much computer and technical lingo making you frustrated?  Here is your solution.  Learn what makes great pictures, how to take them and tips on how to edit and print your pictures.  This class will also cover picture composition and selection, digital camera functions, scanning, basic photo editing and printing.
