This course teaches the basics of golf including proper stance, correct swing,
and follow through. The first night of class will be classroom instruction.
All other classes will be held in the high school gymnasium. Bring two irons
and wood golf clubs. Students are also responsible for
purchasing a practice mat and plastic golf balls.

review of key preventative strategies for good health, tips on getting the most
out of your visit to the doctor, sensible approaches to diet, physical activity,
and dealing with stress.

606* INTRO TO TRADITIONAL JAPANESE JUJITSU

This introductory class in Traditional Japanese Jujutsu will provide instruction
in the fundamentals of the art. These fundamentals will include etiquette,
philosophy and physical techniques to include atemi waza (striking, punching &
kicking) with emphasis on joint locking, immobilization and pinning techniques.
Jujutsu contains a full range of responses that make it practical for law
enforcement officers, business professionals, teachers, older citizens and with
proper instruction and practice can be easily learned by men, women and
children. The strength and weight of an attacker are used against them by means
of anatomical knowledge and principles of leverage. Like most classical budo
traditions, sparring and competitive matches are NOT included in this curriculum
given the inherent danger of the techniques. Comfortable, loose fitting gym
clothes are recommended for participants.
