Dear Student
This packet, which is also available at http://www.sboe.org, contains the information you need to complete your Summer Reading Project. The instructions for this assignment are as follows:
  • With your parents, choose two age/level-appropriate books from one of the websites below. If you cannot find something on these websites, we encourage you and your parents to find two appropriate books. Make sure your choices are not on the Curriculum List - see below.
  • Read the books.
  • Complete one Readers Guide Form for each book. Attach additional pages, if necessary. You may write or type your responses.
  • Return them on the days corresponding to your grade in the English Wing:
    • Grades 9 and 10 will submit on September 15, 2009;
    • Grades 11 and 12 will submit on September 17, 2009.
Note to Advanced Placement Students: Advanced Placement Literature and Composition students have an alternate reading assignment as a replacement for this project. Students taking Advanced Placement Language and Composition must complete this assignment in addition to the teacher-assigned project. Check with your AP teacher if there is a question about your specific assignment.
