Technical Support, Claims, Missing Chromebooks

  1. If you experience a technical issue with your Chromebook:

    • From your school issued Google account and send an email to cbsupport@sboe.org.
    • Subject: Red Asset Tag Number.
    • Body: Description of issue.

  2. If your Chromebook has been damaged (cracked screen, etc):

    • Bring the Chromebook to the IT Office in the Media Center.
    • IT will evaluate it for an insurance claim, and will advise you of repair time and any fees.
    • IT will issue a loaner subject to the same agreement as your Chromebook .
    • You will be notified and invoiced via email when your Chromebook is ready for pickup.  
    • The invoice may be paid online here, or in cash at the IT Office.

  3. If your Chromebook was stolen:

    • Report the theft immediately to the police.
    • If you need help with this contact security at your school.
    • Provide a copy of the report to IT and your principal.
    • IT will issue a loaner subject to the same agreement as your Chromebook .
    • You will be notified and invoiced via email when your replacement Chromebook is ready for pickup.  
    • The deductible may be paid online here, or in cash at the IT Office.

  4. If you lost your Chromebook:

    • Contact the IT Office immediately for assistance finding your device.
