Frequently Asked Questions - 3/17/2023

Our Parent Communication Form is still open! If there are any questions you would like to ask the district administration, please visit this link to ask:

Q: Is there a timeline when a permanent superintendent will be named?

A: A new permanent superintendent will be appointed in the Spring of 2023 for a July 1, 2023 start.

Q: Can you place a microwave in the cafeterias so that students that bring hot food for lunch can heat it up?

A: Unfortunately, microwaves in the cafeteria pose a safety risk to students and are not allowed in the cafeteria. Misuse of a microwave can result in student burns and potential explosions. Therefore, we can not allow them for student use in our schools.

Q: Middle School Ratings appears to be hovering around 6. What steps is the board and school taking to increase middle school rating & competancies?

A: Our district is striving for improvement by analyzing data, identifying areas in need of improvement, and addressing these areas through specialized instruction and remediation. Grant funding has, and will continue to provide our students with additional after school and summer support to raise their standardized test grades. However, please remember that most school ratings/rankings are highly subjective and sometimes depend on input from community members. One of the best ways to raise school ratings/rankings is to register on the website and say a positive word about our wonderful schools!
